Together Flexible Happiness and Chubby Chick Yoga are bringing you a Body Positive Beginners Yoga workshop to introduce you to this life changing practice of Yoga!
We are a body lovin’, absolutely accepting space where all genders, shapes, size, ethnicity and levels are welcome!
Our goal is to show you that yoga isn’t just for skinny bendy folks. We believe that yoga is for EVERY Body and being flexible isn’t a prerequisite to start your very own practice! So, if you’ve heard yoga was good for you, or maybe have always wanted to try it but haven’t stepped out of your comfort zone to face the unknown of the inside of a yoga studio, let us simplify it for you.
Join us for our very first Seattle workshop where we will:
- Introduce you to a brief intro to some key elements of yoga. What it is all about from a philosophical, ground up approach.
- Introduce you to the different styles of yoga.
- Demonstrate and guide you through foundational poses – providing various options to safely find your own variation for your own body within the pose.
- Demonstrate the value and safety of props offering ways they can assist each individual in finding their balance in practice.
- Close our time together by putting it all together in a guided practice, followed by a final meditation.
This will be a great opportunity to meet with other beginners and learn to move your body in a safe, judgement-free space.
